Ross B. Elwell, 76, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Ross graduated from South Side High School in 1956. Later he served in the US Navy for over 22 years, retiring in 1978. He served during the Cuban conflict and later the Vietnam War. Ross was a very kind, giving and loyal husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and was currently employed at Ruan. Ross was an avid Notre Dame, Colts, and Reds Fan. Surviving are his wife, Judith Hart Elwell of Fort Wayne; daughters, Lisa L. (Tom) Lill of Fort Wayne and Michelle (Chris) Corrao of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren: Adam Lill, Rachel (Sam Lopez) Lill, Christian Arthur Corrao, and Olivia Corrao; his dog, Murphy; and a family of close friends. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10:00 am, Friday, April 10, 2015 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 518 E. DeWald St., with calling one hour prior. Fr. Phillip Widmann officiating. Calling also at D.O. McComb and Son's Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Thursday, April 9, 2015, 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prevail (Victim Awareness and Support Program) Noblesville IN; Shephard's House (Veteran's Rehab Home); or Visiting Nurse.
