Alvin L. Denney, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Anne Home and Retirement Community in Fort Wayne. Born in Warsaw, Indiana, Alvin was the son of the late Cecil Denney and Leona Trushel. Alvin worked in the printing industry during his working career. During that time he owned and operated Al's Litho with his son Brian for 12 years. Alvin and his wife enjoyed dancing together for nearly 40 years. He also enjoyed playing ping-pong with his boys, along with bowling. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Denney of Fort Wayne; twin sons, Brett (Mary) Denney of North Webster, Brian (Jill) Denney of Fort Wayne; sons, Allen (Nancy) Denney of Warsaw, Mark (Tina) Denney of Coldwater, MI; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Richard Denney of Warsaw; and sister, Marilyn (Chuck) Schilling of Peru. Alvin was preceded in death by his siblings, Norm, George, Barb, and Doris, along with a great-grandson, Vincent Allen. Service is 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior, Rev. Ryan Cochran officiating. Calling at the funeral home Friday, December 2, 2016, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the St. Anne Retirement Home and Retirement Community.
